About Our Yoga Classes

The physical benefits of our yoga classes are numerous - mobility, strength, flexibility, better breathing, lower blood pressure. The mental benefits are deeply important as well - stress reduction, a clear head, focused thoughts, lower anxiety. Our classes give you chance and the space to regroup, and give your mind a chance to take in just one thing at a time. It's a moment, or an hour, to be mentally still.

What is Vinyasa Yoga?

Vinyasa ("flow") yoga is a term that covers a broad range of yoga classes.  In our style of yoga, poses run together in a smooth way without halt between movements.  At Create Power Yoga, breath is the most important part of the class. In our hot vinyasa classes, the teacher will synchronize the class together as a community, and match each movement to an inhale or exhale. This synchronization helps to create ease in each pose, and helps each individual's yoga practice be uplifted and held by the breath of the community around them.

All Levels Power Yoga

For the first-timer to the experienced yogi, this class is for you.  Our power yoga classes lead you through a series of postures and breathing techniques that create balanced, functional strength to support your body in and out of yoga class. You will move, sweat, play, and experience your body fully. This class will not only strengthen you, but build both flexibility and endurance while helping to focus and calm your mind.

The room is heated to a steamy 93-95 degrees. This class may include hands-on assisting. 

All of our classes are open to every BODY regardless of experience, ability, or frequency of practice.  We love beginners!

Core Yoga

This 45-minute heated class is designed to help build the relationship between movement and stability, using the abdominal muscles as the foundation for fluid movement. This class is a similar format to our All Levels Power Vinyasa classes, but will primarily focus on connecting to the muscles in your core, using breath and self-adjustment to build body awareness throughout the practice.
 
Classes is heated to 93-95 degrees. All levels welcome.

Hip & Back Yoga

A class focused specifically on hip-opening stretches, paired with strengthening exercises to stabilize joints. Flexibility and mobility in the hips and hamstrings increases overall-mobility and reduces pain throughout your body. Whatever the reason for your tightness or pain, this class will compliment your exercise or physical therapy regiment, or stand on its own. This class is for all levels of students - options are given in each pose for maximum benefit.

Lightly heated to 75 degrees to promote stretching.

Power/Restore Yoga

This blended class pairs vinyasa flow with equal parts restorative yoga to fully balance mind and body. Build strength and increase stability for your power yoga practice. Take active rest and restore your muscles through the use of props and breath control. This class is for all levels and is unheated.

$5 Community Class

Fridays at 7pm (except when there is a Pop Up! event - please see the schedule).

$5 drop-in! This class is taught by a recently trained and certified teacher who is developing their teaching practice.

This class will lead you through a series of postures and breathing techniques that will help you move, sweat, and feel transformed! This class will not only strengthen you, but build both flexibility and endurance while helping to focus and calm your mind.

The room is heated to a steamy 93-95 degrees. This class may include hands-on assisting.
