This class series is entirely online, self-paced and free. Petra's program is meant to compliment in-studio yoga classes or to stand on its own as a way to incorporate movement and stability into your life when you don't have time to get into the studio.

How the program works

Healthy flexibility is about much more than passively stretching at deep angles. To be truly mobile we require strength and elasticity in our muscles to support the length of stretching. Many flexibility programs focus only on getting deeper and deeper into a position, which can damage your body over time.

Fascia is the network of connective tissues that run through your whole body and stabilizes your muscles. Healthy fascia should have ability the stretch and to bounce back (rebound) to give strength and energy to your body, and we need much more than passive stretching for healthy fascia. With awareness and focus on how your fascia works with itself, you can train your body to move more efficiently and have more mobility, range of motion and strength over time.

About Petra Lehman-Brauer

Petra Lehman-Brauer began yoga as part of her college dance program. She discovered quickly that yoga asana was helping to relieve pain from old injuries and dysfunction movement patterns created through years of dance. In addition, it helped calm the anxiety and need-for-control that she had experienced for as long as she could remember. Moving forward, Petra practiced more and more, and completed her teacher training in 2013 with Deborah Williamson of Wild Abundant Life.

Petra is a 500hr-E-RYT Yoga Alliance instructor. She was trained in the LIVE LOVE TEACH® methodology with original co-founder, Deborah Williamson. Petra was mentored by Terry Munnelly of Newport Power Yoga, and Phillip Urso and Renee Delauries of Rhode Island Power Yoga. She holds a 500hr yoga certification, focused in functional movement, from Stacy Dockins of The Yoga Project, author of Embodied Posture.
